Meditation and Spiritual Development
You don’t need to be a monk on a mountain to meditate but it is the basis of all spiritual advancement and exploration. We tend to think of meditation as navel staring when in actual fact it is just simply….presence. The act of becoming present and focusing on your breathing is the essence of meditation.
We spend so much of our time out of body. That is that we spend most of our time thinking about the future, the past or our next move that we are rarely present in this moment. It is in this moment and when we are quiet, relaxed and focused inward that we hear our inner voice, our intuition, our knowing.
When we are not present we can scare ourselves with our brain thinking about how things can go wrong. This fear puts stress on our body and our emotions. When we are present we become relaxed because everything is in the moment and all is well. It’s the only way to truly relax the body and the emotions.
Guided meditation takes you on a journey. A journey of healing, relaxation, or discovery and it always starts with a relaxed state achieved by presence. Meditating alone is seen to be difficult but merely following your breath can bring amazing results. Working with crystals to help you also brings outstanding results. Meditating in a group enhances the meditation process significantly. When you are centered and relaxed and raising your frequency through meditation, the power of the groups intensifies everyone’s experience and makes the process easier for everyone in the group as we all sit in each other’s glow.
It is believed that this increased in power is 5 fold. So meditating in a group of 5 is like meditating with 25 people and makes it just that much easier to let go of the random thoughts and dive into the energy of the relaxation and meditation.

Rainbow walking
Sit comfortably in a chair or snuggle into your bed and breathe out fully to relax into position. If sitting, make sure your head is balanced on the top of your spine so that all the muscles can relax and it can support itself. If in bed, ensure you all blankets and pillows are in the most comfortable position possible.
Begin by just breathing. Take notice of each breathe and try to breathe really low into your lungs by aiming to breathe into your navel. Feel your lungs filling from the bottom first, pushing out your tummy, and then filling to the very top before you exhale. Try breathing in deep through your nose then breathing out through your mouth in one long gush like you are blowing up a balloon.
Get into this relaxing and focused rhythm until you find yourself slowing in your breathing and feeling heavier and more and more relaxed.
Then image that you are standing on a beautiful expanse of lush green grass and before you is the very point where a rainbow arcs down touches the ground. The red band of the rainbow is only a few feet away from you. As you walk towards it you feel yourself sink in the cool, lush green carpet of lawn. As you step into the first and the red band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright red light. You feel yourself breathing in the red light and the colour red filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are red, everything in your field of vision is red. The red seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is red. Everything feels red. Everything looks red as you stand in the red band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this red frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Then when ready take a step up and forward into the orange band of the rainbow. As you step up into the orange band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright orange light. You feel yourself breathing in the orange light and the colour orange filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are orange, everything in your field of vision is orange. The orange seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is orange. Everything feels orange. Everything looks orange as you stand in the orange band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this orange frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Then when ready take a step up and forward into the yellow band of the rainbow. As you step up into the yellow band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright yellow light. You feel yourself breathing in the yellow light and the colour yellow filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are yellow, everything in your field of vision is yellow. The yellow seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is yellow. Everything feels yellow. Everything looks yellow as you stand in the yellow band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this yellow frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Then when ready take a step up and forward into the green band of the rainbow. As you step up into the green band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright green light. You feel yourself breathing in the green light and the colour green filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are green, everything in your field of vision is green. The green seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is green. Everything feels green. Everything looks green as you stand in the green band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this green frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Then when ready take a step up and forward into the blue band of the rainbow. As you step up into the blue band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright blue light. You feel yourself breathing in the blue light and the colour blue filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are blue, everything in your field of vision is blue. The blue seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is blue. Everything feels blue. Everything looks blue as you stand in the blue band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this blue frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Then when ready take a step up and forward into the violet band of the rainbow. As you step up into the violet band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright purple violet light. You feel yourself breathing in the violet light and the colour violet filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are violet, everything in your field of vision is violet. The violet seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is violet. Everything feels violet. Everything looks violet as you stand in the violet band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this violet frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Then when ready take a step up and forward into the white band of the rainbow. As you step up into the white band of the rainbow you instantly feel a difference in the energy or feeling around you.
You are surrounded in beautiful bright white light. You feel yourself breathing in the white light and the colour white filling your body. You look down at your hands and they are white, everything in your field of vision is white. The white seems to have a flavour and a smell it is so apparent and intense inside and outside of your body. Everything is white. Everything feels white. Everything looks white as you stand in the white band of the rainbow. Stand for a moment and soak in this white frequency as it balances and realigns your subtle body.
Use this meditation to fall asleep and relax the body for sleep. (If you have fallen asleep before this point….sweet dreams.) It is interesting over time to see that you never fully reach some colours when using this method to sleep. If you have not fallen asleep yet you will now be far more relaxed so I would suggest you start the process again.
You can also use this method as a moment of self meditation whenever you get a chance or to read to someone else in a gentle and calm voice, with a background of meditation music
To finish the meditation, once you have soaked in the white light and been where ever it has taken you, you begin to return to your body. When this happens focus more and more of reconnecting with your body. Do this by beginning to notice everything about your body and how you feel. Then focus on the feeling of the soles of your feet on the ground, the feeling of the chair supporting your body and the feeling of your hands in your lap. Wiggle your fingers and toes and make it your intension to be fully grounded and balanced in your bodies.
Have long drink of water to reconnect and get your body working again.
Use this method as often as you can to experience the power of healing and relaxation through colour.
